Preschool Program

Children develop strong character and a lifelong quest for knowledge through positive learning experiences early in their education. Early Impressions provides these positive learning experiences for your child in a professional, structured, and individualized setting. Early Impressions exposes each child to a variety of experiences at his or her own pace. The social, motor and intellectual skills a child learns in preschool will prepare the child for success in Kindergarten, Elementary school and throughout life.

Early Impressions’ preschool allows children to develop skills in a social atmosphere with professional guidance. Early Impressions believes in a philosophy of allowing children to explore multiple ways of learning. Early Impressions develops the total child intellectually, socially and physically. Our staff uses positive methods, making it possible for each child to succeed. Through this approach all children can reach their highest potential and achieve success.

For our toddlers we encourage and promote increasing independence while at the same time we understand the need for comfort and security. Special toys and blankets from home are accepted at our school.

Early Impressions offers an extensive enrichment program in addition to the core academic programs. Your child’s day will include reading and math readiness, a specially researched and proven phonics program, science, geography, art appreciation, character building, language arts, and computers. Instructors specializing in Orff music, creative movement, physical education, Spanish and Chinese enhance our program on a weekly basis.

Children need exposure to nature and outdoor recreation. Too often in our modern society Mother Nature is obscured by concrete, television and our fast-paced life style. A large component of our program is studying the natural world around us and giving children a chance to watch seeds grow into plants, ants build their nests and other natural phenomena. Early Impressions school is located on six acres of land that includes nature and science trails, sports fields, tennis courts, an in-ground swimming pool, picnic areas, an outdoor theater, and ergonomic playgrounds.

Communication between parents and our staff is strongly emphasized. We want to know you so that we can work together in the best interest of your child. Early Impressions staff meets and exceeds state licensing requirements. We also have a Pediatrician and an Art Consultant acting as advisors. Our consultants work with our staff on a regular basis and are available for consultation.

Early Impressions offers Extended Tender Care services to help accommodate your schedule at no additional charge. Year-round, full-time childcare services are available at our Daybreaker (7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.) and Sunsetter (3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.) programs. Our professionally trained staff gives your child the individual attention, warm and loving care that he or she needs and deserves.

Early Impressions is non-denominational and non-discriminatory. Early Impressions admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin, grants them equal rights and privileges, and offers them the opportunity to participate in all available programs and activities. Children enjoy traditional celebrations of religious, ethnic and national holidays.
